There are various home remedies that can help fade dark spots, such as using lemon juice, sliced raw potatoes and onions. An Ayurvedic remedy is to use slices of raw potatoes. Once a day, one rubs a potato slice on the dark spot until there is visible improvement.
Another popular remedy is to squeeze the juice from a lemon, dip a cotton ball into the juice and dab the spots with it twice a day. To lighten dark spots, a third method is to utilize the juice of a sliced onion. One places the juice on the spots with a cotton swab and leaves it on for 15 minutes before removing it with water.
