To grow long nails, file them toward the middle, soak them in gelatin, moisturize the cuticles, apply a strengthening treatment, take a biotin supplement, and wear gloves while cleaning. This daily 15-minute procedure requires a biotin supplement, a file, water, gelatin, a bowl, apricot oil, gloves and a strengthening treatment.
- File the nails toward the middle
Move the file in only one direction as you file your nails from the outside in. Start by placing the file at one corner, pull it to the middle of the nail, lift it up, put it back at the starting position, and pull it again. Repeat on the other side of the nail.
- Soak the nails in gelatin
Mix powdered gelatin with warm water, and soak the nails in it for five minutes. Rinse with warm water.
- Moisturize the cuticles
Place a drop of apricot oil at the center of each cuticle, and massage it in with your fingers.
- Apply a strengthening treatment
Paint the nails with a clear strengthening treatment, and let them dry for 10 minutes.
- Take a biotin supplement
Take a daily biotin supplement according to the directions on the bottle. Biotin strengthens nails and encourages growth.
- Wear gloves while cleaning
Wear long rubber gloves while cleaning and washing dishes. This protects your nails from harsh chemicals and hot water.
