A good recipe for a sea salt scrub is a basic one that is made with sea salt, almond oil and essential oils. Basic tools like a bowl, wooden spoon and jar are also needed.
Start by pouring about a cup of sea salt into a bowl. Add 1/2 cup almond oil to the bowl and mix well with the wooden spoon. Grapeseed oil can also be used in place of the almond oil. At this point, the mixture should be moist but not too oily. If it turned out oily, add a little more sea salt and mix again. Add about 6 or 7 drops of the essential oil. The amount of essential oil depends on the preferred scent. If the scent isn't an issue, just a few drops will suffice. Use up to 15 drops to make an aromatherapy sea salt scrub.
Once the scrub has been mixed, pour it into a jar with an airtight lid. Add about a tablespoon or so of the salt to a bath, or use them as an exfoliant. They are great for rubbing against the skin to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. Experiment with the sea salt scrub by using different types of essential oils.
