Squeeze three to four drops of tea tree oil onto a cotton swab, ball or pad and gently tap the oil onto blemishes. Let the oil soak into skin for three hours, or leave it overnight. Cleanse the area with warm water and pat dry.
Ice effectively reduces pimple swelling and inflammation. Wrap an ice cube in a clean cloth or paper towel, and hold it to the affected area for two to three minutes. The cold constricts the blood vessels surrounding the pimple, causing the pimple to reduce in swelling and redness.
