To remove glue from your hair, wash the hair with warm water, and massage baby oil, olive oil or almond oil into the glue-covered area. Let the oil sit for 15 minutes before gently combing it out, and then condition and rinse your hair.
- Wash your hair with warm water
Thoroughly wash your hair with warm water. Lather up your hair and scalp with a liberal amount of dish soap, and let the soap sit for an hour so it can break down the glue.
- Massage oil into the hair
After you rinse the dish soap from your hair and scalp, identify the areas that are sticky with glue. Rub a natural oil, such as almond, olive or mineral oil, into the affected areas. Let the oil sit for 15 minutes before combing.
- Comb the glue out, and condition the hair
Gently run a fine-toothed comb through the glue deposits in your hair. Once you comb out most of the glue, rinse your hair, and then wash and shampoo as normal. Apply conditioner to any remaining glue spots. Wrap your hair in a towel, and let the conditioner sit for 20 minutes.
- Perform a final rinse
After the conditioner has set, rinse your hair thoroughly, and use a wide-toothed comb to remove any leftover glue.
