To give yourself a bikini wax, buy a waxing kit, ensure the hair is long enough, apply the wax and allow it to cool, and remove the wax. Remove any remaining hair by pulling it out with tweezers. Wash off any left over wax, and exfoliate the skin.
- Purchase a home waxing kit
Because bikini hair is coarse, it is recommended you purchase a hard wax home waxing kit.
- Check the length of your hair
Make sure that the hair in your bikini area is at least 1/4 of an inch long, but no longer than 1/2 of an inch. If you hair is shorter than that, let it grow. If it is longer than necessary, trim it to about 1/2 of an inch. Apply pre-wax oil that comes in the kit.
- Apply the wax
Use the provided applicator to apply the wax in sections 3-inches long and 2-inches wide. Apply it beyond your hairline to give yourself a tab for removal. Allow the wax to cool completely.
- Remove the wax
Pulling in the opposite direction your hair grows, remove the wax with one quick pull. Repeat this step for all sections.
- Remove any leftover hair
Use a pair of tweezers to pluck out any hair that the wax did not remove.
- Wash off leftover wax
Wash away any leftover wax and sooth your skin with the product provided in the kit. Exfoliate the skin in a couple of days to prevent ingrown hairs.
