According to a study conducted by Remington Products, 43 percent of the women in a survey prefer that men have chest hair as a sign of masculinity. Eighty-three percent of men in the survey say they let their chest hair grow without trimming.
Remington's survey also indicates that 53 percent of women have a desire for men to at least trim their chest hair and 17 percent prefer a totally shaved chest.
The poll asks 435 men about their personal grooming habits and 440 women about their personal inclinations on the same. In addition to their chest hair preferences, 71 percent of women prefer a trimmed or shaved back and 44 percent want some grooming of the eyebrows, ear and nose hair.
