Full Answer

  1. Gather your products

You need anti-frizz serum, a wide-tooth comb, two hair elastics and hairspray.

  2. Wet the hair

Apply a pea-sized amount of anti-frizz serum to the hair from the roots to the tips. Comb the hair to remove tangles and to distribute the serum through the strands.

  3. Part the hair

Use the comb to part the hair down the center from the top of the forehead down to the nape of the neck. Apply a hair elastic to the right side of the hair to keep it separate as you braid the left side.

  4. Braid the left side

Use your fingers to divide the hair vertically into three equal sections. Use your left index finger to part the hair horizontally above the left ear, from the hairline to the center of the head to form a new strand. Braid by crossing the strand in your left hand over the strand in the middle, and then cross the strand in your right hand over the strand in the middle. Add horizontal strands of hair until all of the hair is worked into the braid. Continue until the hair is braided 3 inches from the tips, and secure it with a hair elastic.

  5. Braid the right side

Remove the hair elastic from the right side, and repeat the process on the other side.

  6. Apply hairspray

Spray some hairspray onto your index finger to tame any flyaways. Spray a small amount to the start of the braid on each side to secure the braids.
