To fix your hair after it bleaching, do not shampoo it for at least a week, moisturize your locks with olive oil, apply deep-conditioning balm, comb your hair gently, blow dry it with cool air, and style it without hot irons. This restorative regimen takes just minutes a day. The supplies you need to repair damage from bleached hair are olive oil, nourishing conditioner, deep-conditioning balm, styling oil, a towel, a wide-toothed plastic comb and a silicone detangler.
- Condition your hair
Wet your hair with warm water, and apply a restorative conditioner. Let it work for three minutes, and then rinse it out. Do not shampoo your hair before you condition it.
- Apply a deep-conditioning treatment
Rinse your regular conditioner out of your hair, and apply a deep-conditioning treatment. Leave it on your hair for at least 10 minutes. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water, wrap it in a towel, and squeeze the towel to remove excess water from your hair.
- Detangle and comb your hair
Remove the towel, and comb your hair gently with a wide-toothed plastic comb. Start at the bottom of your hair, and move upwards as you eliminate knots. If your hair is seriously tangled, use a silicone detangling brush. Work slowly, and do not yank on your hair.
- Apply styling oil to your damp hair
Dispense a liberal dollop of styling oil into your palm, rub your hands together, and smooth the product over your hair. Concentrate on areas with the most damage. Comb the oil through your hair.
