To fix damaged hair, soak the hair before shampooing, apply leave-in conditioner, coat the hair with argan oil, comb it gently and style it without heat. This daily process takes about two hours, and requires microfiber towels, a comb, shampoo and conditioner, a leave-in treatment and argan oil.
- Soak the hair
Soak the hair with warm water before you shampoo it.
- Shampoo and condition the hair
Shampoo the hair with a gentle shampoo designed for damaged hair. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, apply a restorative conditioner, leave the conditioner on for five minutes, and rinse with very cold water.
- Wrap the hair in a microfiber towel
Wring excess water from the hair, then wrap it in a microfiber towel. Squeeze the towel to remove as much moisture from the hair as possible.
- Apply leave-in conditioner and argan oil
Remove the towel, and saturate the hair with a leave-in conditioning treatment. Hold a small section of hair near the roots, and comb it, starting from the ends and working toward the scalp. Comb very gently. When no tangles remain, rub argan oil between your hands and smooth it on your hair. Comb the hair again to distribute the oil.
- Dry and style without heat
Air dry the hair, and style it without heated appliances.
