Eyelashes that fall out, are plucked or pulled out do grow back just like other body hair. A full eyelash growth cycle is different for each person, but is generally somewhere between 3 and 16 weeks.
Eyelashes lost during their normal growth cycle, as well as those accidentally pulled out or trimmed, will grow back in a few weeks. Even those lost after receiving chemo treatments will grow back as long as the lash roots remain undamaged. Ophthalmology experts warn that, in the event of severe lid or lash root damage, such as that acquired by severe burns or advanced eczema, lashes may grow back unevenly, or not at all.
