In a 2013 interview with Allure, actress Meagan Good stated that her eyebrows are tattooed. She explained on "The Wendy Williams Show" that she shaved off her natural eyebrows to draw them on when she was younger, and they never grew back properly. Getting eyebrow tattoos or permanent eyebrows involves undergoing a cosmetic procedure that places permanent pigment on the dermis to produce a makeup effect.
As of 2014, eyebrow tattoos can cost anywhere from $350 to over $1,000, and the procedure takes one or two hours to complete. Eyebrow tattoos can be used to fill in sparse or thin eyebrows or create the specific eyebrow shape that is desired. As an added benefit, permanent eyebrows do not smudge or smear.
The major disadvantage of getting eyebrow tattoos is that they are permanent. If the person creating the tattooed eyebrows does a bad job, the customer is forced to live with the poor results, or he must have additional procedures performed to remove or correct the tattoo. Additionally, because all tattoos tend to sag with wrinkles and aging, eyebrow tattoos may not maintain their look over time.
Meagan Good is known for her roles in the hit films "Saw V," "Think Like a Man," "Think Like a Man Too" and "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."
