An easy hairstyle for a woman with long hair is the twisted ponytail. The ponytail can be high or low and is divided into one large piece and one braided small piece with the small piece wrapped around the base of the ponytail and secured with a bobby pin.
For a casual updo, a headband or a hair scarf is placed over the hair on the crown. Next, two-inch sections of hair taken from one side are wrapped around the bottom of the band and secured with bobby pins. Once the first side is secured, this move is repeated on the opposite side. To finish this look, what's left of the hair in the back is rolled and tucked into the band. It is all right if it is a bit messy, but it can be smoothed out with more bobby pins and hairspray for a more polished outcome.
One half-up look that is simple to achieve is the single twist. One section is taken from the left side of the temple to just behind the ear. This piece is pulled across the back of the head to the right and pinned. Another symmetrical section from the right side of the head is taken and crossed over the section from the left side. After it is crossed over, it is tucked under the left section and pinned in place, allowing the ends to blend into the rest of the hair.
