To dye your hair white, bleach it, rinse it, apply light-blond dye, rinse and condition your hair, apply purple toner, rinse, and apply conditioner. This process can take several days and requires gloves, hair bleach, light-blond dye, purple toner, conditioner, a comb, a plastic bag, towels and shower access.
- Bleach your hair
Put on latex gloves, and bleach your hair according to the directions on the bleaching kit. After applying the bleach, wrap your hair in a plastic bag. Leave the bleach on your hair for up to 1 hour. Rinse your hair, and let it air dry.
- Apply light-blond hair dye
Apply light blond hair dye according to the package directions. Rinse your hair with cool water, apply a moisturizing conditioner, leave it on for 3 minutes, and rinse your hair with lukewarm water. Let your hair air dry.
- Apply purple toner
Saturate your hair with purple toner. If the bleach and blond dye gave sections of your hair an orange cast, neutralize those areas with extra toner. Leave the toner on your hair for the amount of time indicated on the bottle, and then rinse your hair thoroughly.
- Condition your hair
Apply a conditioner for dry, damaged hair. Leave it on for at least 5 minutes, and then rinse your hair with cool water.
- Dry and evaluate your hair
Let your hair air dry, and then evaluate the results. If the color still bears traces of yellow or orange, apply additional toner over the next several days.
