A drug rug hoodie is a hoodie made out of a tonal, striped fabric with one continuous pocket across the lower front portion of the hoodie. It is also known as a baja hoodie or a baja jacket.
While the body and sleeves of the hoodie are made from the same fabric, the stripes typically run vertically on the main body and horizontally on the sleeves and pocket. The style got the name baja hoodie when people began bringing them into the United States from Baja California, Mexico. The slang term "drug rug" is a nickname earned because of their frequent use by hippies.
