Deodorant and antiperspirant are personal hygiene products used to control or reduce perspiration and body odor. They come in many different forms, strengths and varieties.
The different forms of deodorants and antiperspirants include powder, aerosol spray, solids, creams and roll-ons. They often come in separate varieties for men and women and can be unscented or scented. The terms deodorant and antiperspirant are often used interchangeably, but they refer to two different products. Antiperspirant controls the flow of sweat. Relevant to the name, it stops perspiration. Deodorant varies from antiperspirants in that it removes the odor from sweat. Although they are different, antiperspirants and deodorants often come in the same product. Some examples of brands that market deodorant are Dove, Degree, Axe and Gillette.
