Curling your hair overnight may be done using a variety of techniques for many different looks. Use bobby pins by sectioning off your hair and making small buns, pin the buns and repeat until all your hair is pinned down. You may also use clips or sponge curls.
- Decide on the curl
When using bobby pins to make tight curls, separate your hair into small sections. For loose curls, separate your hair into large sections.
- Put your hair into sections
Begin at the crown of your head and progressively move down. Take a section of hair and wrap it around two of your fingers and create a small bun. Hold the bun in place with two to three bobby pins. Repeat this process until all of your hair is sectioned off and pinned.
- Remove the pins
Leave your hair pinned overnight. When you wake up, unpin all of the sections and shake out your hair. Using bobby pins should give your hair more volume. If you want curls that are more wavy, use sponge curls with a similar technique as bobby pins. To maintain curls overnight, rather than make them, use clips. Overnight curls tend to maintain a stronger hold if your hair hasn't been washed in a day or two.
