To create a curly mohawk, shampoo and condition the hair, apply styling cream, apply soft curlers, blow dry the hair and pin the hair to the middle of the head. This two-hour procedure requires shampoo, conditioner, a towel, a comb, styling cream, soft curlers, heat protection spray, a blow dryer, shine spray, a mirror, hair pins and hairspray.
- Prepare the hair
Shampoo, condition and rinse the hair. Wrap it in a towel, and squeeze out the excess water. Apply styling cream from the roots to the tips, and comb the hair to distribute the product. Apply heat protection spray, and comb the hair again.
- Curl the hair
Separate the hair into 1-inch sections, and wrap each section around a soft curler. Mist the hair with shine spray, then blow dry it until it is totally dry. If you encounter damp hair while removing the curlers, re-roll the damp section and blow dry the hair for an additional five minutes.
- Pin the hair
Pin the hair into a mohawk. Place the pins directly against the scalp. Distribute the curls with your fingers so the pins are invisible, then mist the hair with shine spray. Finish with a liberal application of flexible-hold hairspray.
