To clean a tungsten ring, wipe it with a cotton pad soaked in rubbing alcohol, and wash it with mild soap. This five-minute procedure requires cotton pads, rubbing alcohol, a medium bowl, mild hand soap, warm water and a soft towel.
- Prepare the ring
Lay the ring on a clean towel.
- Saturate the cotton pad
Saturate a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol.
- Rub the ring with the pad
Rub the ring with the alcohol-soaked cotton pad. Pay extra attention to the inside of the ring, where body oil and hand lotion quickly accumulate.
- Wash the ring
Pour warm water into a medium bowl, and add a dollop of mild hand soap. Swish your fingers through the water to create lather, and then put the ring in the bowl. Leave it submerged for 20 seconds, and then rub it firmly with your fingertips. Rub seriously dirty areas with a clean cotton pad dipped in the soapy water.
- Rinse and dry the ring
Lift the ring out of the bowl, and rinse it under running water. Pat the ring with a towel, bring it to a safe location and let it dry in the open air. Return the dry ring to its storage container.
