To clean your pores, wash and exfoliate your skin, apply a clay mask, rinse it off, apply oil-free moisturizer, and use blotting papers to absorb oil throughout the day. This 20-minute process requires a facial cleanser, a washcloth, a scrub, a clay mask, a towel, moisturizer and blotting papers.

  1. Wash and exfoliate

Wash your face with warm water and a mild facial cleanser. Rub the washcloth over your skin in gentle, circular motions, and rinse your skin thoroughly in warm water. Apply a facial scrub, and massage it into your skin. Rinse thoroughly, and pat your face dry with a towel.

  2. Apply a clay mask

Apply a clay mask to your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. When the mask dries, rinse it off with a washcloth and warm water. Dry your face with a towel.

  3. Apply moisturizer

Wash and dry your hands. Apply a thin layer of oil-free moisturizer, and rub it in with your fingers.

  4. Soak up additional oil with blotting papers

Use blotting papers to absorb surface oil throughout the day. Lay the blotting paper on your skin, smooth your fingers over it, and peel it away. Repeat over your entire face. When the paper turns clear, discard it, and use a fresh sheet.
