Nike does not recommend using any shoe care or cleaning products on its shoes. It also does not recommend using a washing machine or dryer for use on its shoes. Saddle soap should not be used on leather portions of any shoes designed for sports that involve lateral movement, including soccer, basketball and golf shoes. Instead, remove excess dirt manually, use a mild detergent with a little water to remove stains, and dry thoroughly./
- Remove excess dirt
Remove any loose dirt from the shoes. Use an old toothbrush, shoe brush or other soft-bristled brush to clean the outside of the shoes.
- Clean the shoes with detergent
Remove the insoles from the shoes. Mix warm water with a small amount of laundry detergent. Use a sponge or soft cloth to clean the shoes with the soapy mixture. Focus particularly on any stained areas. Clean the insoles in the same way.
- Remove excess detergent
Dip a separate sponge or soft cloth in clean water. Use it to remove excess detergent from the shoes and the insoles.
- Dry the shoes
Let the shoes air-dry at room temperature. Do not apply any heat to the shoes. Allow the insoles to air-dry as well. Replace the insoles back in the shoes only after both shoes and insoles are completely dry. If stains remain on the shoes, repeat the process, focusing on the stained areas.
