Tanning beds typically take F71 lamps, which are 71 inches long with metal pins on either end. Some older beds use F72- or F73-length lamps, which have a black plastic cap on the end. Look at the label of the bulb in the tanning bed to identify the right size.
Locate the colored plastic strips on the long sides of each acrylic shield. Use the flat screwdriver to remove the colored strips. Grip the shield with both hands, and raise it upward. Move it enough to expose the end cap.
Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the end cap in place. Remove the cap, then slide the metal grill out from the inside of the bed.
Hold the bulb at the center, and rotate it toward you. Slide the bulb out. Repeat this with all the bulbs.
Holding the bulb at the center, line it up with the slots in the tanning bed. Rotate it into place, turning the bulb away from you. Gently push the bulb until it feels secure. Repeat this procedure with the remaining bulbs.
Put the metal grill back in place, and screw the end caps back onto the bed. Pull the acrylic shield down, and secure it with the colored strips.
