Cartier glasses are designer eyewear made by the French jeweler Cartier. Cartier makes glasses for both men and women, in both prescription and sunglasses styles. The company also offers a line of Precious Eyewear, eyeglass frames made of 24 carat gold and set with precious gems.
Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 by Louis-Francois Cartier. The company remained with the Cartier family until 1967. Over the next century, it quickly rose to prominence as it received several lucrative and high-profile contracts from members of European royalty. In addition to jewelry, Cartier produces wristwatches, leather goods, fragrances, writing implements and home decor.
