The eyebrows should frame the face and complement the eye shape. For pretty eyebrows, use a set of sharp tweezers, an eyebrow pencil and a mirror in a well-lit area.
Establish the starting point
Hold onto the open end of the tweezers, and align them vertically along the outer edge of the nostril. The end of the handle is where the inner corner of the eyebrow should be. Use the eyebrow pencil to mark this area for both brows.
Find the end point
Holding the tweezers in the middle, align the bottom part with the nostril. Align the top with the outer corner of the eye. The end of the handle marks the outer corner of the eyebrow. Use the pencil to mark this point.
Determine the thickness of the brows
Use the eyebrow pencil to draw a faint line from the fullest point of the brow to the line marking the outer edge.
Pluck the excess hairs
Use the tweezers to pluck any hairs that fall outside of the lines drawn in with eyebrow pencil.
Measure the arch
Stare straight into the mirror. The highest point of the arch should lie right above the outer edge of the iris. Use the eyebrow pencil to mark the highest point.
Shape the arch
Use the tweezers to pluck hairs until a gentle arch is created. If necessary, finish the brows by filling in spots with the eyebrow pencil.
