Full Answer

  1. Gather your supplies

Get 3 bars of Dove soap, 6 cups of water, 1 large pan, a stove, a cheese grater and a container to hold 48 ounces of homemade soap.

  2. Begin shredding the soap bars

Shred the soap bars by placing them against the grater and pushing them down to create small pieces. Use a little force, and be careful of your fingers with this process. Continue to grate until all 3 bars of Dove are in small pieces.

  3. Heat and mix it all together

Heat the pan on the stove over medium heat. Add the 6 cups of water and 3 grated bars of soap. Stir the mixture occasionally until all the soap pieces are melted.

  4. Transfer to bowl and cool

Carefully transfer the mixture from the pan on the stove to the bowl and allow to cool for 2 to 3 hours. The mixture will thicken as it cools. You may transfer this into a plastic container for easier shower use after cooling.
