Honey, either alone or mixed with cinnamon or apples, can clear the skin due to honey's antibacterial qualities. The honey is applied and left on the skin from 20 minutes to overnight. An oatmeal mask made of oatmeal powder and water soothes the skin. A similar mask made out of baking soda also works. You can apply it all over the face for gentle exfoliation and to eliminate blackheads or even dab directly onto pimples.
Lemon juice has glycolic acid, which exfoliates the skin. Diluted lemon juice can be applied to the face and rinsed off after 15 minutes. Papaya also has an enzyme with exfoliating qualities, so you can make a paste of papaya or rub the inside of papaya skin directly on the face.
Raw egg whites or an egg yolk mask help clear the skin. Beat an egg and apply to the face with a brush, rinsing off after it dries. Apple cider vinegar works as a toner, balancing the skin's pH.
