In 2007, Paris Hilton launched her perfume, Can Can for women. Hilton said the scent and advertising campaign were inspired by the pop song "Lady Marmalade" and the 2001 film "Moulin Rouge." The scent was formulated by Jean-Claude Delville.
Can Can was Hilton's fourth fragrance for women and her seventh fragrance in all. Perfume fans categorize the scent as a "fruity-floral," with top notes of clementine blossom, black currant and nectarine. In 2014, Hilton launched a flanker fragrance to Can Can, called Can Can Burlesque. Flanker fragrances are variations of original perfumes, somewhat like a sequel scent. Can Can Burlesque has more notes of white musk and raspberry than the original formulation.
