As of 2015, military exchanges offer clothing brands such as Fossil, Ralph Lauren and Vince Camuto. They also offer home goods and electronic products from brands such as Kenmore and Sharp. The brands available at military exchanges depend on the time of year the customer shops, the type of military exchange, the location of the store and the kinds of products available.
Military exchanges allow active military personnel members to shop tax free for a variety of products, including household items such as TVs and clothing and accessories products such as handbags. Military ID holders and their dependents can experience guaranteed low prices on gas, beauty products, jewelry and other high-end goods. To be eligible to shop at the military exchange, customers have to be either military retirees, ready reserve personnel, active military personnel or guards. Additionally spouses and family members of military personnel can shop at the military exchange.
The three exchange systems are the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, or "The Exchange"; the Navy Exchange Service Command, or the "Navy Exchange;" and the Marine Corps Exchange. Although different military branches run each of these exchange store services, eligible customers can shop at any of the exchanges. Customers can buy items online at ShopMyExchange.com, which provides access to merchandise at The Exchange or one of its more than 3,700 stores in the United States and its territories or one of the 30 countries with a store base. The Navy Exchange has some stores on naval ships, and the Marine Corps Exchange offers shopping globally trhough about 170 stores.
