The back of a bob may be the same length as it is at the sides, or it may be cut sharply upwards towards the top of the head; this is known as an inverted bob. A bob leaves the back of the neck exposed and visible from the back.
The classic bob style is longer in the front, often with bangs, and tapers towards the nape of the neck. Within this style, the hair may be layered, textured or colored. For a more dramatic look, a razor cut may be considered.
Beauty and the Bath recommends using a blow dryer and smoothing balm to help style the bob. If hair is naturally wavy, a straightening iron may help tame shorter layers at the back.
