To use a Beautyblender, wet it, squeeze it out, dip the fat end in foundation, stipple it over the skin, apply cream blush the same way, and use the pointed end to blend the makeup into recessed areas of the face. This 15-minute process requires water, cosmetics and a mirror.
- Soak the sponge
Place the Beautyblender under running water, and squeeze it several times. Turn off the water, and squeeze the sponge again.
- Apply foundation
Dip the fat end of the Beautyblender into foundation, and pat it into the skin. Use a soft tapping motion. Do not rub the sponge over the skin. Use the Beautyblender's pointed end to blend the foundation into the creases of the nose and the inner corners of the eyes. As you work on these areas, twist the sponge while patting it into the skin.
- Apply cream blush
Rinse the Beautyblender, and wring it out. Tap the fat end into a pan of cream blush, and pat the sponge over the cheeks and temples. Continue until there are no harsh lines.
- Clean the sponge
After applying cosmetics, submerge the Beautyblender in water, squeeze it several times, rinse it with clean running water, and squeeze it again. Place the sponge in a well-ventilated area until it is dry.
