Movado claims that its two-year limited warranty can be used to repair or replace the timepiece if movement failure is due to defective material or workmanship. In addition, the finish on gold-plated watches is covered for five years; however, it is only covered against flaking and peeling but not scratching. Damage from normal wear, scratches, accidents and damage from misuse or improper alterations are also excluded from the warranty.

For a Movado warranty to be valid, the warranty card must be embossed by the retailer, dated and signed. The warranty card must be presented to get service under the warranty. The warranty is void if anyone other than an authorized Movado dealer sold the timepiece.
