What Were Some of the Top-Selling Books in 2014?

The number 1 top-selling book of 2014 in both print and for Amazon Kindle was "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. There were others that made both top 10 lists, though not necessarily in the same order, including the popular books "Divergent" and "Insurgent" by Veronica Roth.

"Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn made both top 10 lists in 2014. "The Goldfinch," "The Husband's Secret," "If I Stay," "Orphan Train" and "Unbroken" all made the top ten bestsellers list for Amazon Kindle, while "The Long Haul," "Killing Patton" and "Frozen" made the top ten bestsellers list for print books. Stephen King had two bestsellers in the top 20 of the Nielsen BookScan adult fiction list with his book "Revival" at number 9 and "Mr. Mercedes" at number 13. John Grisham also had multiple books in the top 20 with "Gray Mountain" at number 2 and "Sycamore Row" at number 8. The fanfiction phenomenon "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James also made the list. A few nonfiction top sellers included Cheryl Strayed's "Wild" and Hillary Rodham Clinton's "Hard Choices." George W. Bush made number 6 on the Nielsen nonfiction top 20 with his book "41: A Portrait of My Father."
