While there are a number of different ways to track an Android phone, the simplest way is to use an application called Android Device Manager. You need an Android phone with a connected Google account, the Android Device Manager app, and a computer or wireless device with Web access.
- Enable Android Device Manager
Install the Android Device Manager app from the Google Play store. Open the app, and agree to allow Google to track your location. Sign in to the app with your Google account. Go to Setup Lock & Erase, and enable the app's location, remote lock and factory reset options. The app automatically displays the location of your device using Google Maps.
- Track with a computer or laptop
To track a lost Android phone using a computer or laptop, go to Android.com/DeviceManager, and sign in to your Google account. Android Device Manager displays the location of your device as soon as you sign in.
- Track with another Android phone
To track an Android phone with a separate Android phone, open the second Android phone's Android Device Manager app, and select Guest on the log in screen. Sign in to the Google account that is enabled on the lost Android phone. The app automatically displays the location of the lost device as soon as you sign in.
