Standard Federal Reserve bank holidays are available on the Federal Reserve Bank Services website, FRBServices.org. However, every bank observes federal holidays differently. TheHolidaySchedule.com publishes a yearly list of major banks' holiday schedules, but customers should contact their local branches for confirmed closure dates.
To view a bank's holidays at TheHolidaySchedule.com, click the Bank Holidays link from the menu on the left side of the home page, and then scroll down and click the name of your bank.
The standard holiday closure schedule for the Federal Reserve System includes New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day. It also includes Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day and Christmas Day. Federal Reserve Banks stay open the preceding Friday for a holiday falling on Saturday, but close on the following Monday for a holiday falling on Sunday.
