The late Paul F. Ricart Sr. founded the first Ricart Ford dealership in 1953 in Canal Winchester, Ohio. After expanding to Bowen Road, Ohio, he made a third expansion in the 1960s to Route 33 and Hamilton Road, Ohio, which is now the site of the current Ricart Mega Mall.
Although Paul Ricart set up the location of the Ricart Mega Mall, his sons, Fred and Rhett Ricart are responsible for making it into the current mega mall dealership. While Rhett remains the business face of the mega dealership, Fred, through his musical talent and the thousands of commercials made at Ricart Studios, has made both the dealership and himself recognizable figures in Central Ohio. Fred Ricart was given the distinction of an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year award.
The Ricart Mega Mall sits on 67 acres and houses new Fords, Mazdas, Hyundais, Kias and Nissans. It also sells many different makes and models of used cars. The Ricart Mega Mall has one of the largest parts inventories in the Midwest and employs a consumer advocate. It also won the Consumers' Choice Award for Business Excellence every year since 2001 as well as the Ford Motor Company's President's Award.
