What Is a Good Recipe for Cinnamon Rolls?


A good recipe for cinnamon rolls takes about 25 minutes of prep time, 1 hour of rising time and 15 minutes of baking time. The recipe uses frozen bread dinner rolls and yields 1 dozen rolls.

Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Prep time: 25 min. plus 1 hr. of rising time

Bake time: 15 min.

Ready in: 1 hr., 40 min.


  • 1/4 c., sugar
  • 1 tsp.., ground cinnamon
  • 1 package (16 oz.) frozen bread rolls, thawed
  • 2 tbsp., melted butter
  • 1/2 c., confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tbsp., 2 percent milk
  1. Make sugar mixture and cinnamon rolls
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside. Roll each dinner roll into a 12-inch rope, and coil into a cinnamon roll. Brush the top of the rolls with the melted butter and dip into sugar cinnamon mixture.

  3. Prepare to bake the cinnamon rolls
  4. Place the cinnamon rolls on a greased 13-inch by 9-inch baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture on the top and cover. Place the pan in a warm place to rise for about an hour before baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.

  5. Make the icing
  6. In a small bowl, combine the confectioners' sugar and milk and mix until smooth. Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
