Where Can You Find a List of Job Postings for Online Teachers?

There are three types of websites that list online teaching positions: generic job search websites, teaching-focused job search websites and the official websites of educational institutions, including online colleges. Online teaching position listings vary as positions open and close.

Examples of generic job search websites are Indeed.com and Monster.com. Both of these websites have comprehensive search engines where job seekers can search for online teaching positions. Searches can be narrowed by state, city and other factors.

An example of a specifically teaching-focused job search website is HigherEdJobs.com. This website provides listings for both on-site teaching positions and, when available, online teaching positions. Job seekers can sort listings by posting date, institution, location, priority and job title. Each listing provides detailed information about the position in question, including application deadline, job category and type, qualities the institution seeks in its applicants and, when applicable, information on benefits that accompany the position.

Educational institutions typically also provide job listings on their own websites as well, as in the case of the University of Phoenix. Individual institution websites may also have generic application features independent of actual job availability, such as in the case of the online component of Southern New Hampshire University.
