The Trojan War was won by the Greeks after a 10-year long battle. The decisive turn in the war was the charge led by Odysseus from the Trojan Horse.
The mythological Trojan War began when the Greeks tried to bring Helen back to Greece. After a long stalemate, Odysseus came up with a plan to finish the war. Boats were scattered out of sight while a large wooden horse was constructed. The horse was given to the Trojans to signify a peace offering, but Odysseus and a small group of men hid inside of it. Upon nightfall, Odysseus and his troop set fire to the city and consequently won the war.
