The primary cast members of the 2005 version of "Fantastic Four" are Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis. The entire cast reprised their roles in the film's 2007 sequel, "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
In "Fantastic Four," Gruffudd plays Reed Richards, a rocket scientist who gains the power of elasticity and becomes Mr. Fantastic. Gruffudd is best known for his role in this film, but is also known for roles in TV shows such as "Glee" and "Forever." Jessica Alba plays Sue Storm, who acquires the power of invisibility and becomes the Invisible Woman. Prior to her role in "Fantastic Four," Alba starred in Fox series "Dark Angel" and has since appeared in films such as "Good Luck Chuck" and "Valentine's Day."
Chris Evans plays Sue Storm's younger brother, Johnny, who becomes the Human Torch. Since appearing in "Fantastic Four," Evans has become one of the most recognizable movie stars in the world; he went on to play Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has also starred in films such as "Snowpiercer" and "What's Your Number?"
Michael Chiklis plays Ben Grimm, a friend of Richards, who is transformed into a rock monster called The Thing. Chiklis is also known for his role as Vic Mackey on "The Shield," an FX crime drama.
