Producer and songwriter Pharrell Williams had a huge year in 2014, with the release of his second album "Girl" winning significant acclaim. Although his hit single "Happy" was originally released as part of the "Despicable Me 2" soundtrack, it also served as the lead single on "Girl," hitting number 1 on the Billboard charts and selling more than 5 million digital copies.
John Legend also had a successful 2014, with his hit single "All of Me" topping the Billboard charts in May 2014. The song was Legend's first number-one hit, knocking Pharrell Williams' "Happy" out of the top spot. The single became the second highest selling song of 2014, with 4.67 million copies sold throughout the year.
