Some movie trailers released in 2015 include “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” “Goosebumps,” “The Martian” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” These popular films had both trailers and actual theatrical releases in 2015.
The final installment of the popular “Hunger Games” trilogy stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, now the face of the resistance movement against the massively corrupt Panem government. Joining forces with her closest friends and a host of rebels, Katniss attempts to storm the capital and assassinate the evil President Snow.
Less an adaptation than a reimagining, spooky kid’s movie, “Goosebumps,” takes the creatures from R.L. Stine’s classic children’s book series and brings them into the present day. The film features Jack Black as Stine, whose fictional creations become real when a teen unwittingly releases them from the author’s manuscript collection.
Ridley Scott’s sci-fi thriller, “The Martian,” stars Matt Damon as an interplanetary explorer accidentally left behind on a mission to Mars. With limited food and oxygen, he must struggle to survive on an inhospitable planet and attempt to make contact with his crew.
The seventh installment of the popular “Star Wars” franchise takes place decades after the original trilogy, in a galaxy struggling to stabilize after the destruction of the Empire. The film features new leads alongside original trilogy actors such as Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
