“Baahubali” is a history and war film directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The story follows a couple who saves a drowning infant oblivious of its past or future life. The child, called Shivudu, is a free spirit who explores the mountains and in the process learns of his roots and the purpose of his life. Finally, he ends up confronting the mighty Bhallala Deva.
“Rudhramadevi” is a film directed by Gunasekhar. The plot is about Rudraba, the daughter of Ganapatideva, who succeeds her father and becomes the most prominent ruler of the Kakatiya dynasty and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history.
“Eega” is a drama/fantasy film directed by S.S. Rajamouli. It is about a murdered man who reincarnates as a housefly and seeks to avenge his death. Another S.S. Rajamouli directed movie, “Magadheera,” is about divine mysteries and reincarnation. The main character must fight for his love when a sinister character from previous lives threatens to separate them.
“Atharintiki Daaredi” is a comedy/drama film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The storyline is about a millionaire who quits his luxurious life in the United States and returns to India to become a driver at his aunt's home. Answers to the question of why he does so form the crux of the story.
