As of 2015, some of largest selections of hip-hop and R&B videos can be watched on YouTube and Vimeo. YouTube and Vimeo both have deals with a company called VEVO that licences official music videos from Universal and Sony, two of the three largest record labels.
One of the main differences between the two websites is Vimeo's use of Flash and YouTube's use of HTML5 for displaying video. HTML5 allows higher resolutions at lower Internet speeds.
YouTube allows the watching of videos at different resolutions, from 320 by 240 pixels to 3840 by 2160 pixels, depending on Internet speed and upload quality.
Vimeo allows video resolutions between 640 by 480 pixels to 1920 by 1080 pixels.
