There is not a way to make red from two different colors; this is because the color red is one of three primary colors, and primary colors cannot be made from other colors. The three primary colors are red, blue and yellow.
While primary colors can't be made from other colors, mixing primary colors produces other colors called secondary colors. For example, blue and red make purple, red and yellow make orange, and blue and yellow make green.
Adding different amounts of each color to the mixture creates a darker or lighter tertiary color. For instance, adding a large amount of blue to a small amount of yellow creates a darker green. Adding a large amount of yellow to a small amount of blue creates a lighter green.
