Crackle.com and Hulu.com allow users to legally stream some TV shows online for free. Both websites provide free content by providing commercials during the stream that are paid for by sponsors. Both companies also allow users to stream videos on various devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
All of Crackle’s video content is available for free streaming without requiring an account registration. Hulu only allows access to some free content, with the option of accessing all videos by subscribing to the service. As of 2015, Hulu allows some episodes of current TV shows to stream free eight days after the original air date. Some episodes might also be available for free through participating TV providers.
