Arias and Alexander met in 2006 and began dating in 2007. Five months later, they ended their relationship. On June 9, 2008, Alexander was found stabbed and shot in his home in Mesa, Arizona. Investigators determined he had been killed five days before he was found. Arias was charged with his death one month later.
