The Velocity channel is a cable channel owned by Discovery Communications that focuses on the wealthy young male demographic. The network's programming features a lot of automobiles, with programs such as "Chasing Classic Cars," "Dallas Car Sharks," "Wheeler Dealers," live automobile auctions and auto racing.
Velocity is available to between 46 million and 86 million households, as of 2015. It is exclusively available in high definition, having replaced Discovery's HD Theater channel in 2011. The specific number associated with the channel varies between markets and providers. For example, Velocity is channel 246 on Dish Network but channel 403 on Time Warner Cable. The network does not currently offer a channel finder, so customers need to look at their provider's listings in order to find the station.
