As of 2015 Azteca America provides viewers with a variety of programs, such as “Friday Night Futbol” and “Venga la Alegria.” “Friday Night Futbol” provides some of the network’s biggest ratings and is one of its most known franchises. The program features soccer games from the First Division league, with play-by-play commentary featuring Christian Martinoli and Luis Garcia. “Venga la Alegria” is one of the network’s morning entertainment shows, featuring segments such as beauty tips and cooking lessons.
Azteca America’s programming provides some of the same programming available on its networks in Mexico. Some of the programming is made in Mexico but is optimized for audiences in the United States. The network claims it chooses the best programs to air from its other networks and also adds its own licensed and self-produced shows. In May 2015, Azteca America held its annual upfront presentation to reveal its 2015-16 programming line-up.
The network unveiled its new full-hour block of interactive programming for families to enjoy, called “The Winning Hour.” It features a variety of programs, such as dance contests and game shows. Its primetime line-up features three different soap operas, followed by two action drama series. The network also announced reality and news shows included in its schedule, along with more family programming on Sunday afternoons.
