West Angeles Television is produced by West Angeles Church of God in Christ. The West Angeles Church of God in Christ was founded in 1943 by C.E. Church. As of March 2015, it has over 22,000 members, making the church one of the largest congregations in the western United States. Worship services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings are held in the 5,000-seat West Angeles Cathedral. Extensive ministry and outreach services have made the West Angeles Church of God in Christ one of the fastest-growing churches in the United States.

Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr. was elected to lead the West Angeles Church of God in Christ on Nov. 12, 2007. In 2009, President Barack Obama asked Bishop Blake to serve on his White House Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Bishop Blake was also chosen to speak at the Democratic National Convention's first ecumenical service. Bishop Blake and his wife, Lady Mae Blake, preach each Sunday on the live broadcast.
