Jeanne Bice died of complications due to uterine cancer in 2011; she was 71 years old. Bice had been in the hospital for a cancer that she had told friends was not curable but treatable. She suffered complications and died after subsequent hospitalizations.
Bice was very well-known as the creator of the Quacker Factory clothing line. She sold items from her line on her own show in the QVC shopping network. Her customers appreciated her products and the lively woman who stood behind them and sold them on the shopping network. A friend reported that on the morning of the day she died, she had a business meeting with a QVC executive, working enthusiastically until the end.
